Motor Starting Study
Motor starting study determines various conditions of power system, when a single or multiple large motors are starting either across the line or via VFD or reduce voltage starters of any type. Study evaluates voltage drop on various busses, transformers and motors, it also determines the starting current and time until the motor comes to full speed. Usually, two types of analysis are performed for motor starting studies.
- Impact Motor Starting.
- Dynamic Motor Starting.
In general motor starting study is done for large commercial or industrial system, where large motors have serious impact on electrical power distribution system.
